In this image, I captured a moment when my model found a quiet, still place to land between bigger movements. This helps visualize the feeling of ‘waiting’ that has perpetuated the last several months.

Nikki Raitz is 21 years old and currently pursuing a BFA in Drawing & Painting at Kennesaw State University. Motion and mystery are something that deeply inspire Nikki and this theme can be seen throughout most of her works today. Her body of work includes dance photography, fine art wheatpastes, and portraiture. Nikki loves reading books on rainy days, swing dancing, meeting new people and watching movies curled up on the couch. She works for hire as a photographer in product photography, portraits, and dance sessions.

Nikki is excited for the opportunity to be a part of this year’s exhibition and have a greater ability to connect with the photography community in Atlanta.
