To me, Justice in 2021 is the acknowledgement of inequity and correction of systemic oppression. It is uplifting those who have been spoken over for decades, centuries even, and it ensures that they are being heard and protected. Justice is insurance to uphold the values of our society, to quote a founding father of the land we live in, all men are created equal. Meaning everyone is entitled to respect and dignity, no matter who they are. A society is proactive; it does not allow its citizens to experience inequity or oppression from its leaders.
