Amplifier is “a design lab that builds art to amplify the voices of grassroots movements… with our community of social change partners, in both the for-profit and non-profit worlds, to build symbols, language, and distribution strategies that can change the national narrative.”
Together with Amplifier, in the fall of 2020 Getty Unshuttered developed a photo challenge Open Call for teens across the country, to see and learn directly from them what they are In Pursuit of _____. The Open Call received over 1500 submission from all over the country, and 34 works were selected by two panels of judges as winning works. Across social media channels and public spaces featuring projections, winning entries appeared in Anchorage, Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, and Washington D.C.
