Diner/Barred
Sarah J
A street scene by a diner on Ponce de Leon, Atlanta.
Sarah J. is a senior at Kennesaw State University majoring in photography and video. She works as a film editor and produces other work in photography and traditional fine art. Her interest in photography grew out of experimentation in high school in a traditional fine art class.
“This exhibit is an exciting opportunity to tackle a difficult and pressing subject,” she said. “I hope [with this exhibit] to convey that there is still ... a yearning to get out, to get back to normal life, and to enjoy the comforts that public places, events and social interaction offer and that the inability to do so leaves people empty and alone.”
For Sarah, photography is a means to connect people and experience the world through the artist’s lens. She is planning to develop several creative series for submission to smaller galleries around Atlanta or wherever she will be living in future.
